A Tempting Tempest Near Me

It does look to be in good shape, but at $325 that would be a tough buy as a Tempest project IMHO. The biggest question is what can you get out of the Son of Phoenix parts and are there any parts from Tempest still inside the cab.

It is tempting, but I have too many projects as it is.

My thoughts exactly. Unless you've got a spare 6100 and Tempest components at your disposal, $325 is pretty high for a cabinet.

I have played this exact game. The game play is OK in my opinion. I didn't play it much, but I couldn't get into it.
The conversion was done very well and the Tempest cab is really nice.

Patrick was at Lenny's yesterday to pick up a board and he told me about it. Seems like it would be a lot of dough to convert it back, especially since it doesn't have a Vector monitor anymore.

$600? The CP looks pretty good, seems like it needs a monitor, board, marquee, and CP overlay, spinner.

Well the monitor and board alone will most likely set you back $400+ and then there is shipping costs too. I bet you would need a new harness as well. I have gone through this exact process, however I got a cab for free.....

Depending on how they converted it, I would agree that the wiring harness is likely gone or hacked up pretty good. I would bet the ARII is likely gone and maybe even the transformer assembly.

I owned this machine for a few months and gave it back to larry. I wasn't really playing it anymore. The cab is VERY nice but sadly there was no Tempest parts left in it besides a manual. The conversion was done very well, it looked like it was supposed to be in there.
