picked up something to help with pin repairs the other day....a simple purchase, but one i just hadn't thought of until then:

a headlamp.

i think it was $12 or so.

gone are the days of holding that flashlight in my mouth while i stare into a pin cab. lol.

Well, smack me silly.... I keep one in the car for night-time breakdowns.

Never though of using the darned thing for around the house work. Good excuse to buy another one :)

I wear one of those all the time when working on pins. Really handy. Sometimes it seems like I never take it off.

I have one for pin work. A must have.

now that i've gone the headlamp route, i see that you're 100% correct. i always had the flashlight in the mouth thing going on and, as i'm sure you know, that's not always helpful but is always annoying.

the headlamp is a godsend. i have no idea why i didn't jump on one of these bad boys earlier. :)

A flashlight in the mouth is a bad idea when working around 120v --- my dad broke a tooth off when he accidentally touched a live wire when working on an outlet with a small mag light between his teeth.
I got him a nice Black Diamond headlight for Christmas!
