What is this monitor and how do I fix the vert. collapse it has? Bob Roberts doesnt have this model... Ive checked the solder joints on the neck board and they look ok, not great, but still intact. Should I just look for a new monitor or this this thing fixable?

check the chassis itself for bad solder. Im also clueless as to the model... but like i said check the chassis istelf, around vertically mounted transistors ics and also the yoke connector pins. also ohm the yoke to make sure it doesent have a open winding.

Im sorry, i wish i could give you a little more info but its kind of hard to say without knowing more about it.

That would be a...........

Nanao

Big POS, not worth repairing IMO

you are the first and last person (probably) to give me some sort of info on this monitor. The tube has no burn so... I dunno, I guess Ill check for bad traces, but it seems a shame to not get it working.

ooo, and also cadillacman, when you say yoke connector pins, do you mean the pins that the neck board connects to? Monitors arent exactly my strong suit.

I can't tell which Nanao it is from the pic, sorry.

Nanao's are hard to find parts and documentation for, and that makes them pretty worthless when they fail.

what he said. KenLayton made mention in another Nanao thread that Nanao's been out of the game for like 5+ years and took all parts and documentation with them.

there's a guy in Australia named Jomac that actually repairs these shitboxes, but did I mention he's in Australia?

yeah..

the yoke pins cadillacman refers to come off that copper-wired apparatus attached to the back of the tube around the neckboard, it has 4 wires (2 for horizontal, 2 for vertical) and they run to the deflection board. I think he's saying to check those 4 pins for cold solder. they're oftentimes red, yellow, green and blue colored wires.
