Just got this email.

Amusement Equipment Auctions

"U. S. Amusement Auction is out of business and no longer conducting auctions. The amusement industry has diminished to the point that there is not enough equipment available for sale to supply regularly scheduled auctions.

Thank you for the support you have given in the past."

It is a sad day but I could see this coming. The last couple of S.A. that I went to where low in the number of games, unless you wanted to buy a 48-1 multgame.

The people bringing all of the multis are doing it to themselves. This last auction had almost an entire row of multi-games. They were putting in those big monitors to try and make them sell. They saturated the auction and didn't make near as much. I going to guess that there may be more 19" multis at the next auction.

Wait a min -- these are the folks that conduct super auctions??? Or different company?

That sucks.
I knew something was up when all the auctions at the Ohio State Fair Grounds were cancelled.

That was the only solid, close auction to me.

ok, you stay tuned to the web.
i'll stick with my old-fashioned methods
of talking to the people involved.

All I have is the web. :) If you have people that say they will still do them, then that is great. It does make you wonder why they would post that on their site, but I guess it doesn't matter to me. I have never been to one of their auctions.

yeah i believe there's just some in-fighting right now and something new will emerge. there will always be equipment to sell, they just need to get on the ball and get word out better than they've been. an uprising might be just what's needed.

I am there!!!! Usually the call me shortly before the show. It's been a long time since I have gotten that call. Hope it does not suck as much as the last one did.

Last Columbus auction was horrible, I left at noon, right after a broken countertop went for $350...
