A rare visit/repair session with an Atari founding father

A friend of mine had his Pong and Super Pong machines in for repair at a local tv shop in Mountain view California a couple weeks ago and was greeted with a rare opportunity. It turns out that the repair shop owner was friends with a guy that was good friends with Al Alcorn and a couple of calls/emails later, the man himself was there working on my buddy's machines. Stories were told, lunch was served and after 3 hours of visiting and repair, both machines are working and signatures were added to both. Here's a few pics.

Man, talk about the right place at the right time! That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the pictures. :beerchug:

that's awesome, chris. did your friend get any pics with al as well?

I'm sure he did but they weren't in the group that he sent me. I should add, there was actually another pong machine there that Al signed bu you can't really tell from the pics that the two he signed were different machines.

So jealous. I've been wanting him to sign mine since I got it, that'd be one of my ultimate grails. I've already achieved my other...I got my Odyssey signed by Ralph Baer!

That was a very, very cool and rare opportunity indeed.

It's cool that Al Alcorn signed the games as well. I bet that will boost their value a bit; and if not, well, it's still pretty darn cool!
