I have a Midway cabinet that is sanded down to the wood. I also have a friend that has a sprayer. What type(brand, etc) and amount of paint and primer do I need to give him to paint the cab?

You'll have to search. But it better be an HVLP sprayer hooked up to an air compressor. Not a cheap Wagner. Those aren't gonna cut it.

I have been searching. I could not find anything about the make and model, so to speak, of paint they used. I just don't know anything about paint. Is it a special type of paint? Automotive, regular oil paint in a can? My friend has a powder coating shop. He definitely has the right tools. I'll verify the sprayer he has.

automotive paint would look the best, but most use oil paint. I'm doing automotive lacquer for my next project. Oil paints look nice but aren't all that fun to work with. Especially with stencils.

If oil, you want RustOleum quart can, oil based. My Lowes carries this:

If it's like the other RustOleum I've sprayed, it should have on the can that you thin with up to 20% acetone. I've sprayed 80% paint, 20% acetone from an HVLP gun with great success and a slick finish. The clean up is a bitch, but worth it. If he doesn't want to ruin a nice gun or muck it up, might be worth buying a $20ish Harbor Freight gun for the job.

Yeah, I used all oil-based cut with Penetrol. Mostly Rustoleum, but sometimes I splurge and go with Sherwin Williams All Surface Enamel. This was 100% Rustoleum:

I'm here, I'm here! Thanks for info. Yes, your PAC cab is amazing. If I had more patience and experience, I might be willing to take on the stencil job.
