A que for the experts on both sides of the isle: algar

Awhile back I picked up a williams algar in a bulk buy.
I offered it up and was surprised not many folks knew of this pin.
For those of u that do, I would like to know if this was a vid what would it compare to?
it is avail for sale or trade in the houston area. Its neat to have as a conversation piece but since my focus are on vids, I would like to move it on. Pics and additional info are in the archives. Please search and u will find my old post with pics. Thanks!

Algar huh?

It's the last System 6 game by Williams, and very few were made. One of the few widebody Williams games of the era too.

Because it's a wide-body, with no multi-ball, it never got much love at the time. Wide body games tend to play slower and the trend at the time was for frenetic fast games like Firepower, Black Knight and such.

But these are different times. Now it's viewed as an interesting and rare game by Williams. I don't know if that's translated to higher prices or not, but if you post it up over on RGP or Pinside you'll probably get more bites than you will on KLOV. If the backglass is in good shape, that will get you a big premium on the title, as this was the era that saw so many problems with the backglasses. It's hard to find an Algar in any form, it's near impossible to find one with a good backglass.

I don`t know what video game you`d compare it to but you should have no problem trading it for one..
