I see the company brought up here from time to time, so...

Jack Friedman died. He was the co-founder of Jakks Pacific, the company that makes those TV plug-in games that you either love or hate (or love to hate).

He also founded THQ & LJN.
 
since they made license to make many toys from movies in the 80's I had a lot of their toys. As for their nintendo games, I can't say they were great but I actually played a lot of Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street.

I admit I played a lot of Friday the 13th too, and I'll still fire it up once in a while to play it. It's definitely a tough game, but I've gotten to where I can beat it regularly now.
