I had to share this little ditty, since I know you guys would appreciate it.

Last night I had a semi-decent drive home, and on the way home the wife texts me and tells me she's going to get us pizza for dinner. When I got home she wasn't there yet, and she had the 2 kids with her. I walked in, dropped my gear, petted the dog, and went straight for the garcade. I powered up Asteroids, Sorcerer pin, Tempest, Berzerk, and the juke. Set up a couple of songs on 45 to listen to, and immediately went to the Berzerk for a few rounds. From there, I headed to Tempest, then Asteroids, then Sorcerer. All of the games came right up with no problems, and it was a perfect, peaceful time until dinner and the fam came home.

My games are now on every wall of the garcade, so all around you are machines. I had busted my butt cleaning up out there for family coming to visit on New Year's weekend, and it was so nice just to walk out there, power up games with no issues, play some, and leave. It was just like the old days of going in the arcades at the mall, doing your thing, and moving along. That doesn't happen very often these days, so I had to share!

I know that feeling...with two boys, what usually happens is I am peacefully enjoying a good round or five of pinball, 8-track playing some Merle Haggard (or Led Zepplin or whatever tape I last plugged in) and then the rest of the family arrives home. Usually I can hear the screaming, crying, and arguing from the moment the van door opens. But I wouldn't change it for anything. But still, boys...they give me gray hair.

This happens regardless of child gender. I have one of each.

Double verified ... it's true.

P.S. Sounds like a killer night. I can't remember the last time I just turned a game on and played it without feeling guilty about the one missing a control panel next to it and how I should be working on that instead of playing.
