A New First

Ahh, the snow, up hill both, ways barefoot may have been an embellishment, but the rest is true. I did in fact kill the PCB because I fired up the game without realizing tokens were jammed in between the boards.

sucks, but totally a human mistake. realistically, the last thing i would look for would be tokens stuck between pcbs...

note to self check games for tokens/coinage around electrical boards before initial power up, Check.... Got It!

Agreed, I totally looked around the bottom of the cabinet, but the PCB was located on a shelf about a foot above the base. I talked to the OP and he said they had to lay the cabinet on its back to stand it up in the truck.

I'm kinda confused here. Did she post pictures of the machine and I'm not seeing it? Or are you just saying in general? Tekken 3 only required 4 buttons per side.

she posted in another thread

With a new CPO and some nice Capcom side decals that thing will be looking great. Nice haul NG.

I love seeing a big red and big blue paired up. It's like the height of '90s awesomeness side by side.

You DO realize those were uber-rare $950 Chuck E. Cheese tokens, didn't you?

i had an elecevor action with vertical jailbars once.. like hardcore board issue not something else.. but it still played, so i ordered some boards from a local klover, went to change them out, and found a quarter wegdged between two of the boards causing an intermittent short..

removed the offending disc, and it played fine ever since. Never needed to change the boards. I guess i got lucky.

so is the plan now to get another tekken 3 board? or are you just gonna put another board in there?

No, I am going to set it up for SF II HF. I was hoping to at least sell the Tekken 3 stuff to cover some of the conversion cost :(
