Picture this, a warehouse, last week, somewhere in New England, and over in a corner buried lay a beautiful Capcom Big Blue defiled by Tekken 3. I walk in and asked the owner, "does it fire up?" We walk over to the giant blue beast, flip the switch and POW, Tekken 3 lights up the monitor. We play a game and laugh maniacally. I pay the man for the cab and his troubles.

Fast forward to today, delivery driver calls, "we're here and we got your cab". The driver and I lug the big, blue, beast strapped to our backs, uphill in bare feet through five feet of snow to my office and gently lay it down. I dance with glee over my new acquisition.

After my celebratory jig I plug it in expecting gore and blood only have it constantly reset. I shake my fist towards the arcade gods and curse their name.

The PS, I presume? I test said PS only to get a good range. "What could it be?" I ask. I take the boards out to examine them only to discover TWO FUCKING tokens wedged in between the boards creating a god damn circuit that fried my board!

Really? Is this how it is going to go down? Death by a Chucky Cheese token? Well at least it was only Tekken 3.

I tested the board in another cab only to experience the same thing :( At least I was fortunate enough to snag a SFII HF this week! Haha Tekken 3 the joke's on you. You were never wanted.

That's pretty damn ridiculous, sorry your first PCB for that cabinet is toast. At least Hyper Fighting will make you forget it ever happened.

Well, at least you were barefoot.

;)

Semantics...

Aren't all firsts...new?

Congrats on your big blue, and thank you for wrecking a Tekken 3 we are all better off.

Yeah when the things are moved, often times you can find coins moving around. Got to clear all that up before you fire that up.

I probably would have bought that Tekken 3 board off of you but met... at least it was a "only" a $50 board vs something like a 3rd Strike...

Tekken 3 knew it wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

Looking at the CP, it looks like it's an original punching to me. I'd have to see the underside of the control panel but these were sheet metal over 3/4" ply. They are a big of work to re-drill and figure out how you want the holes re-done.

I have a customer that wants a Tekken 3 built for them but I'm trying to convince them to take my TTT board insead. I have to drill a blank 25" cab corner cut panel that someone gave me. At least it's not as many holes as SF2.

you better find those CEC tokens and return them to the neariest CEC establishment. no but really congrats on a new cab sux about the board, you could have at least had it in case someone was in the rare chance looking for one.

Melissa, give me the burnt remains. :D Also when you sell that big blue talk to me first! :D

Edit:
I have a nice Dark Stalkers marquee and board set to put in that cabinet.

I'm kinda confused here. Did she post pictures of the machine and I'm not seeing it? Or are you just saying in general? Tekken 3 only required 4 buttons per side.
