A lot of Marquee's for Sale

I have a shitload of PMs from him and only one of them with his phone number if I remember right.

Argh...

I did find a PM where he said he'd be in touch with me Tuesday (tomorrow) in regards to the Sanyo 20EZ I am looking for...so it seems that he is likely still in CA. My first PM from him indicating he was in CA was on the 10th (10 days ago)...

Annoyingly... no phone number or address in the PayPal thing from when I paid him... and the box is in a landfill by now.. I tossed it.

Eric Underwood is the name, though... I won't forget the name of the man who finally ripped off KLOV'ers.

I suggest that if there's anyone left who hasn't received their stuff yet, when you do, VIDEO TAPE yourself opening it. Showing the fully packaged box or whatever and then open it on tape and see what he can say to that.

That's all well and good, but anyone who sees that (hello, YouTube) will know he's full of shit.

And besides. He is WRONG when he says that if something happens to it during shipment. If something happens, IT IS HIS FAULT.

For the record, how was everything sent? Courier, I mean?

The guy has responded to the paypal disputes, read his KLOV PMs and completely ignored this post. It's not as if he'll see said video and all of a sudden admit he is wrong. From everything represented here I think this is beyond the honest mistake point... by about 1,000 miles. Those first marquee pics were enough to tell me something isn't right... and I didn't buy anything from him so I have no stake in this. In any case, I hope I am proven wrong. Glad to see Frizzle is offering his assistance, that's a nice gesture Friz!

I don't expect him to admit his wrong at this point. The point is to be able to show others what was expected and what was received. As long as there are people here and elsewhere who know about this, he won't have very much luck ever selling anything else to anyone.

I guess I never should have had him send them all to me first so that I could attempt to make them fit the custom cab I was painting at the same time. Sorry, y'all!

the more I see that name, the more it seems familiar to me...I wonder if I've been screwed by him in the past. probably not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I want to hear what Eric has to say before I make any kind of judgment. I am usually a pretty good judge of character and I didn't peg him for being a scam artist. I think we all should calm down just a little and lets see what the guy has to say. If I remember correctly, someone up in this thread said his PM's had NOT been read as he had not gotten a return receipt (which I suggest everyone utilize as it is real handy when confronting people who said they didn't get your PM).

Not sure it's a good idea to post the guy's address and phone number in an open forum. Might end up with legal action against you if things go badly....

Be better to just say, "I have his contact info. If you have done business with him and are having trouble contacting him, send me a PM and I will share it with you."

My 2 cents...

Personally, based on the (few) replies people have gotten from him, I think he's said what he's going to say. He says they're NOS despite it being obvious they aren't, even to the newbest of n00bs; he says that it must have been shipping that damaged them, which he claims isn't his fault (but it is)...wait...what was that paypal said regarding claims?

Does that thing about their protection only covering the shipment of items only refer to "in a timely manner"? Because if he claims they got screwed in shipment, then that should fall under your protection in paypal since he obviously didn't package them well enough when several shipments from the same guy all going to different destinations ALL somehow got damaged...I know USPS can be bitches when it comes to handling, but that sounds a bit too coincidental to me.

You may be able to back him in a corner based on what he claims MUST have happened.

Hell guys I guess since I have some time tonight I'll try and tell my story....I ordered vs goonies and dark stalkers. I wanted the goonies for my vs cab. i wanted the dark stalkers that was supposed to be NOS for wall art ya know black lights and all...Anyways the dark stalkers has marks where anyone can tell the holders for the marquee were at...a few small scratches, but no not NOS. I can not remember if the goonies was listed as NOS but its wasn't either, although very nice. I also had a hand written note cant remember what it said I'll look when at home. He did send other marquees, one was pit fighter good condition but who wants that (hell noone has even bought the boards I have for the game) I had one marquee that still had the paper front over the artwork but the paper is really really stuck on there. the marquee is called terra cresta some Japanese game from what klov has. it is on great condition but the paper is not coming off thats why i had that one post about what to use in the help thread. anyway i got another marquee that had some goofy ass sticker of some game, well after looking at it i realized the sticker could be pealed off and it reveled a great looking Joust marquee underneath. i was shocked, it looks great......i have not written any compliants (been busy for sure) well there is my story....Jake

Yeah... passing judgement seems to be impossible not to judge already. He only replied to PayPal claim messages, insisting that these are indeed NOS (even though anyone can tell they aren't), that we are trying to screw HIM out of money, and even to Smiley back there that these didn't leave his hands in that kind of condition, as if his marquee bracket scratches and sloppy plexi trimming happened in shipment somehow.

Perhaps he was desperate for cash and did what he felt he had to do or whatever, but it's very obvious what he did... he misrepresented what he was selling BADLY and refuses to do anything to fix it.

Yes, PP said same as you guys. Item was shipped, not their problem BUT if enough people complain his account will be suspended.

I'll hit the CC company, but that is about it for my options. Any tore up Marquees anyone wants to sell for wall art?

I've left a message on his machine (home)...but I really do think he is in Cali. I also left him some PM asking him to address this issue.
