Finally completed a major milestone in getting Death Race control panels reproduced.. The ABS blanks are ready! These blanks will be shipped to Rich over at thisoldgame.com to have the artwork screened on and then back to me for final bending. This is a VERY limited run, at this point 10 pieces only so if you are in need let me know asap. Looking at 70.00 each for these to cover all the costs of shipping, screening, bending and cutting in a small number.

I don't expect much will happen with these now until after CAX as we all know where Rich is going to be :)

All these projects will be the Death of me :D
will turn these around next day for you Ill get a screen ready
when you ship send me a small sample of the plastic to ink test.

But yeah definatly post CAX : )

70 bux is a smok'n deal for that much work.. good on ya guys for keeping the price so low! If I had one, or had ever even seen one locally that I might one day own I would be all over this.

Brian - You and Rich are awesome - Chris and I have been holding our breath - waiting for this project to be completed... thank you for helping with these - I cannot wait to get my restore completely done.
Its been sooooo hard to have restored this machine and to have to sit and only look at it because I cant play it until this control panel is done... Thanks again

Brian - please add me to your list, I want one of these.

Here's a shot of the finished product, this run will be done by the end of the week and ready for purchase. Unfortunately after adding up all the costs I have to hit 80.00 each on these to recoup it all, not too much of an increase but there were unanticipated costs. I'm test fitting the first one on my machine tomorrow and as long as it all lines up right the rest will be completed the next day.

Those long bends are tougher than they look!

looking great - as always! but here's a question: what about the durability of that material you've used? the problem with those old control panels was that the plastic got worn out around the shifter holes pretty fast!

The wearing of the plastic panel had nothing to do with the material that was used, it was the shitty design in the stick assembly that caused the shift rod pin to bend which then led to the (even shittier designed) shift rod to pivot too much and rub on the plastic. There's only one thing that will keep the same thing from happening and my rebuilt stick assemblies have a little mod performed that looks like this.

The green block you see is a very hard plastic that acts as a guide for the shift lever. There are also a couple bushings between the roll pin stanchions that also help keep the lever from rocking back and forth.
