So I picked up a cabaret. Doesn't have the 2-slot board set but complete otherwise. Couldn't pass it up since the cabinet is in nice shape - a little cosmetic work could be done on the front and the right top corner.

How much did you give?

I REALLY want one of these... haven't really seen any around my area though... Just curious as to what they go for.

I don't see them too often, either. I picked this one up in Dallas, TX. Guy wanted $100.00 firm. I figured it was worth that because I don't see them too often, it is in good shape and it is 'cute'. :)

I *think* I have seen them listed for $300-$400 (or so) complete and with two games.

In 2004 I sold one for $600 . But it was pretty much mint with a new Wells monitor .

Yeah $100 was a steal. $200-300 for a 25" version depending on slots, but these are much more rare.

Yeah, very cool little version of the MVS, though I wish they could have utilized the monitor space and used a bigger monitor if possible. 13" is tiny. Even the smallest Neo candy cab uses a 19" screen (Neo19) and it's smaller than this one. Great pickup though and for a great price! I'm jealous. :)

Man that thing is in great shape! Does everything else work i.e. monitor?

The guy said it needed a cap kit. He had sold the 2-slot board and had a jamma to neo adapter and plugged in a Blue Elf 1.0 cart.

Monitor has very little burn-in.

It was listed on Dallas CL a few weeks ago. I was in Dallas but leaving when I saw the ad. Called him and he agreed to hang onto it for a couple of weeks until I would be back in Dallas and could pick it up. He was a great CL seller. :)

He was complaining about CL buyers being flaky and decided since I was so interested he would take a chance and hold the machine for someone that really wanted it.

Actually the 13" makes Neo games look really good . It smoothed out the graphics and made the games look like anime .

The ONLY down side to the mini Neo cab is its small and not comfortable for 2 player games , especially fighters . For 1 player its perfect . If you play alot of 2 players nothing beats the dedicated 25" Neo cabs .

Sweet. You don't see those every day. I think that would be really cool, especially if a person has kids.

Noice87, does this look like the mini you had in Dallas? This is the one I posted about in another thread where you mentioned you had sold your mini to someone in Dallas a while back.

This one had no mvs-2 board set but in otherwise good condition.

It seems quite possible this is the one you owned at one time.

I picked up the one on the right for $200 a few weeks ago with 4 games, a recapped monitor and a new PS:

Since then I got a 120-1 cart and have been having a lot of fun with it. The one on the left is my 48-1 Neo Cab conversion that I am working on, still have to paint it. Neo's are a lot of fun and I think you got a decent deal.

You got a good deal for $200.00.

I think I did well, too, at $100.00.

Eventually I want to find a 4 or 6 slot dedicated as well.

Just couldn't pass on the mini.

Noice87 confirmed what I knew about the seller so I think this was the one he had.

Sweet Neo Geo! What/did games come with it?

No games. It did come with two marquees for the carts (I assume) that were in it. It also did not have an mvs-2 PCB. I have one on the way. My plan at this point is to try a multi-cart in it. I also have some other carts as well.

It is a 'cute' little cabinet. Portable enough I might have to drag it along when I head out of town for a weekend. :)
