Hey guys, I'm working on my G07 in my Pac-Man. Monitor was working fine and then this happened:

(sorry for the bad pic)

I did a cap kit on this a couple of years back and it's been working great. Suggestions?

The right side of your vertical deflection circuit is toast...Most likely you going to need to replace X401...

Yup! Although it might (not sure if it can do this) be that resistor that fuses the power to the vertical deflection too, I'm not sure though if just one side would collapse when the voltage went low. You might try testing that resistor or reflowing the solder on it, but if you're going that far you can obviously test X401 while you're at it :)

Where is the resistor located? I'll pull the X401 and see if I can test it. Thanks

You can probably test the X401 by just comparing it to the other one just like it in the same section, with it still on the board. Measure between base and collector, then base and emitter. Compare it to the transistor on the other heat sink, your numbers should be pretty similar.

The resistor is like FR401 or something like that, it's right beside that area, and is a white resistor that sticks up off the board pretty high. You'll recognize it because it'll be burnt all to hell and have crappy looking legs and solder joints.
