A little fun with Whirlwind

My 2 year old is a pinball NUT right now. His only problem (with Taxi) is he doesn't understand to pull the plunger back far enough to get the ball to go all the way up the top. I pull the plunger for him, and he plays. Every time a ball drains he says "oh no! Its broken!". So awesome :)

I had a moment seeing him actually waiting for the ball and then hitting the flipper going "viral video, computer postprocessing". Way more with it as to gameplay than I'd expect out of a kid his age. Ya done good, dad. :)

Awesome video! I can totally relate, here's my boys from a few years ago:

You guys are lucky! My girlfriend is unable to have kids, but when we have our nephews, younger cousins over, they are all mesmerized by my arcade cabinets! Hell, I even put family friendly titles in my neogeo and naomi cabs just for them!

It's great to see kids enjoying the same you enjoyed when you were their ages!

Tiger, my girlfriend was also unable to have kids also, however, somehow our little pinball wizard happened, it was a blessing, and a very big surprise(especially since she was over 40) Couldn't ask for anything more though, we got married, moved to Hawaii and have a great kid with TONS of energy.

Yeah, we have to work on the glass banging...there are NO tempered glass places on the island, so if it breaks, I will have to import from the mainland. However in fairness to him, I get upset when I lose a ball too.

Sorry for the bump... but the story has progressed! I picked up a TZ, and had to do something with the Whirlwind since there is only room for one pin at the house. Well if anyone ends up in Queens Hospital with a broken bone...ask the resident what his/her high score is, lol, a covert mission at night placed this baby in the call room and there is a FIERCE competition going on. The one great thing is that now my son has something to do when he visits me on call :) Oh and you can also play Whirlwind from the 8th floor, looking out at the sunset over the ocean...not bad.

My sister-in-law works there... I'll let her know to go play a game.

Looks like it might be in a room she's not allowed in (she's a DPT)

Lol we did hide it, tell her to page me when I am next on call. Probably in a week or two. Only ortho resident with a last name starting with armi

Sorry guys I had to bump this, with a small update...

We now have TZ instead of Whirlwind, and the poor guy can't quite reach the flippers. However he loves the sound it makes when you launch the ball....

One problem, we used to be able to unplug the machine and all was good. Like any kid he figured that out pretty quick and to avoid electrocution(since he's also figured out how to get the outlet saftey covers off) we just left it plugged in...

Well then it happened. He now crawls under the machine, flips the switch, comes out, get's his ladder, and away we go.

Take it away from him? The fit that ensues is impressive, he's got that "terrible two's tantrum" down cold, lol.

Mount a power strip up high out of his reach, and plug the game into that...
