A (Janky) Video of My Arcade..

Awesome work Adam! Gotta admit, missing Elevator Action a bit, but I've been jamming om the Tempest non-stop..

You got a great setup down in the basement. I'm hoping to get to come over and actually play for a bit one of these days rather than just moving games up and down the stairs... ;-)

Can you provide a link/more info on the centralized power distribution thingy you referenced off of amazon?
You said something about 220, and I would be interested in learning more about it
Thanks
Awesome arcade!

I think the row with Missile Command and Turbo Outrun turned out pretty well. Looks like you can still fit a couple more down there! lol. I can't wait to finish reorganizing my place and get playing some games.

Bro, how big is your basement BTW?

Awesome question, bro.... Around 1000 sq ft, I guess. There's room behind the SI-to-Asteroids row... Eventually I'll push them all the way back. There's whole other half to the basement where we have storage/laundry/junk.

Yeah, one...maybe two next to SI.

Ok, essentially my father-in-law & I built a power tap/box that plugs into the 220 dryer plug. It has 4 20A circuits on it... Each of the 3 (soon to be 4) power strips (which I think are 15A?) plug into each one. From the "switching" box, which is a 4 space Mid-Atlantic rack, I have cords running to each game. It's not the most ideal solution, but for the near future, it's very nice to have. The switch units are on Amazon, Technical Pro PSB9 1U.

No doubt, G.

And thanks for watching the video everyone... I appreciate it.

Awesomely cool arcade and excellent vid... Almost wish I still lived in MadTown, so I could visit (BZ & MC;)). Yeah, an arcade like that would definitely make Wisconsin winters a little more bearable. Well done

Nice video, wish more members would post more. Nice games, do you miss Tempest?

Cool basement, bro.

I'd never part with my Tempest but you've got a great lineup! I'm going to check out those power switches you have too.

do you miss Tempest?

The short answer is yes.

Long answer: Not as bad as the first day or two... I felt bummed at first, totally, but I knew it was "the right thing to do.." So, I only "kinda" miss it now. Having a nice Missile Command and Elevator Action (both games were high up on my "want" list) makes up for it just fine.

Aaaaand the video is already outdated... I sold my Virtua Fighter & picked up a Warlords upright.

Got one of the power switches you use delivered today from Amazon. Just got it all set up, it's got a new home on the top of Gorf. Cleaned up my wiring quite nicely!
