Just wanted to say that the KLOV Community ROCKS!!!!!! KLOV and each member that has contacted, spoke, or answered my questions ROCK... ROCK.... ROCK!!!!!! Did I say ROCK!!!!! So in the Holiday Spirit... I did a solid today...

Quick background...I started w/this community a bit ago...as a couple of my games were down and out... Well, with your advice, patience and encouragement, they are up and running... I can do some basic game fixes now... even w/my trusty Harbor Freight Multimeter...(yeah FLUKE for Christmas... not this year...)

So today I PAID it FORWARD THANKS to YOU GUYS!!!!!... A friend of mine last week said he had a buddy @ work who had a Mortal Kombat, loved it but it went "flakey", then stopped playing...

Since the holidays are coming and he's having friends and family over... he was bumming...(From what it sounded like... a spent power supply). And I had an extra...

W/my multimeter and a power supply in hand, off we went...Opened the game up, metered the P.S.... and it wasssss shot! Twenty minutes later, new power supply dialed in... game on and we played twenty games... He couldn't believe it...(yeah, me too.) After a beer (two) he was so grateful and kept reaching for his wallet...
Wouldn't let him, it was AWESOME to help and get the game running...great way to start the Holidays!!!!!!
So, an early Happy Holidays to EVERYONE!!!!!
PEACE and LOVE to YOU and your FAMILY and FRIENDS...

Love this.

Always great to fix one quick went to colleagues party last week fixed joystick in a 3 mins and game was up for rest of night.

That's awesome, and why I troll and love this forum, I can ask the most basic of questions and get tons of help. +1

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to go ahead and personally take credit for this. I am sure that at some point in my many years here, I have advised to check the power supply. It has finally come in handy. *takes a bow*

Niccce! Now go fix that power supply ;)

You might want to consider the EEV blog bremen meter instead of a used/new fluke.

Fixing things feels good. Its even better when you fix it for someone that doesn't know how. Even better than that is when they pay you with alcohol :D

Agreed, I've asked plenty of questions, and plenty of answers with great advice. A couple of things I figured out on my own. And there have been instances with newer collectors than me in my area that have helped out. It always feels good to pay it forward.

And so it spreads...did you point him to KLOV?

Great job!
