Hey there!
A big hearty hello from Portugal!
I've been collecting games and consoles for quite a while and been playing games since I can remember,
After getting a NeoGeo MVS the interest in all things arcade begun, it's been a pair or two of months and I already got some boards, majorly bootlegs.
As an electronics lover it's like bread and butter together, having a blast with all of these games and learning how to fix it has been a crazy ride.
See you around!

Hello from across the pond.

My family blood line has Portuguese in it from my dad's side.

Welcome to the hobby. I can't imagine how you get parts over there to fix things. Lol

Welcome to the forum.

Your country is beautiful! I visited Lisbon and Porto a couple of years ago, and absolutely loved it. The food, the people, and the pace of life were all wonderful.

I'm curious what the arcade scene is like over there. I actually had my eye open for games when I was there, but didn't see much.

Also FYI, you should edit your VAPS profile to add your location, so it gets displayed with your posts, as most people do here.

Hello... and welcome to the BEST ARCADE forum on the planet!

My family blood line has Portuguese in it from my dad's side.
I too have roots in Portugal from my mother's side. My maternal Great Grandfather was born and raised in the Azores before he came to the states by way of indentured servitude VIA Hawaii in "the teens" at the age of 19.

Upon repayment of his passage, he settled in Oakland CA where he met my Great Grandmother who was 1st generation Portugese born in Honolulu. That makes me 1/4 Portugese, of which I'm proud.

I've never visited there, but it's on my bucket list!

Anyway, WELCOME!!!

Thank you so much! I just got my membership yesterday still finding my way around here. :)
About the arcades we still have some places with some working ones, the community here is small though, I'm still to find someone that has like superguns and PCBs laying around like me around here (at least near me).

Hey Dylan!
Thanks for the warm welcome, so cool to have Portuguese roots! We're all around the world, we were great explorers and it shows.
Portugal really is a great place to live and to visit, if you come by, say something! :)

Hey there!
Another Portuguese roots friend! That's awesome!
Well, parts wise, it's not easy but we go by buying stuff from other countries, we have some cool bootlegs around aswell, mostly derived from our brother Spain.
I almost buy exclusively from Spain, that's where the juice is. :D
Cheers!

Welcome to KLOV! Great first cab with the MVS. How many slots does your MVS have?
Hey Mark! Thank you!
I have no cabinets at the moment, just the PCBs, but I really have to try and get one in the future. :)
It's a 1 slot MVS1B, the other boards I have around are a bootleg Toki, Hard Head 2 original, a bootleg Ghouls n'Ghosts, a bootleg Ms. Pacman and a bootleg Mortal Kombat! Lots of bootlegs, will try and get the originals when they come by. :)
