I am having two problems now with this otherwise good working machine. The right flipper sometimes acts like I am pressing the button really fast, even though I am just pushing it once or holding it down. It basically flips up and down a quarter of an inch really fast when it is in the up position.

Second problem is the out hole plunger in the upper left ball hole will rarely spit the ball back out. Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Clean and test the switch for the outhole and look at the EOS switch/wires for the flipper. Also the little hair wires on the coil, with the playfield up hold the flipper button in and look for arcing in and around the flipper coil/switches.

O.K. fixed the ball eject part of my problem

As far as the flipper goes... I replaced the flipper coil and everything worked great for a day. Now today, it will work for a minute or so and then nothing or when I push the button there is a second or so delay before the flipper engages. Any ideas? I soldered the wires pretty solidly ( I am not very good at soldering).

File clean or, better yet, replace the EOS switches on the flipper mechs AND the flipper button switches. They're probably very worn or crispy.

I can't remember if there's a diode on the flipper or not, but that might be worth checking. Coils rarely go bad unless they're fried completely.
