A drop in pinball prices ?

iv seen a substantial price drop locally for the last month. mostly due to people paying for Christmas with cash this year not plastic. people have been unloading pins to have the cash for the holiday.

I think, generally-speaking prices are continuing to go down. The exception are marquee machines. I don't see this trend changing any time soon. But it may level off at some point.

really depends on the title. Tomorrow, I have a guy picking up a near mint batman forever with all the leds and new flipper rebuild, and it's all I could do to get $1250 for it. Couple months from now, yeah that may change by a couple hundred. Some pins, like MM, doesn't matter what time or year, they're like snapping sticks right now at $7k plus

Figured I would unload a couple games in hopes to buy an A title or newer stern while the prices are reasonable

I know what you mean.

There seems to be a bunch of good pinball deals in the last few months. I think it's more a buyers market right now - it was like that before the holiday season. I've turned down two machines, picked up one last week, am going to pick up another machine monday, all of them at half what their avg price is according to the bostonpinball list. To make matters worse, I was visiting my parents house and saw an ad on CL for a pinball game, asking $600 - it was a fair price, and I wasn't particularly interested, but I sent the guy an e-mail offering $300 and he said, "come pick it up" - now I'm in a quandary because I really don't have room.. LOL

Definately buyers market for most titles. If a person had a lot of space and finances permitted, you could definately stockpile a lot of 'em.

I agree that it's a buyers market right now, especially if you have cash in hand. Bottom line is that MOST collectors don't have $4K in cash sitting around waiting to buy a machine.. and if they do, they are being selective.
