I'm sure these have been answered but I can't seem to find them. I'm going to (finally) install the overlay on a Robotron CP that has been converted to a multi using the arcadeshop CPO. So the questions are is it best to just apply this right over the bondo work or should ya prime it first?

Also I'm installing the joystick dust covers under the CPO as they originally were. Do I attempt to measure and leave the protective film on the back of the CPO in these areas or do I just peel the whole thing off and hope the CPO doesn;t stick to the dust covers

Oh yeah... I also have new centering gromets..should I use them? It doesn't seem to me that they would be need on a machine used at home as the joysticks are new and really tight

Thanks!

Prime it first then lightly sand the primer...you will get some bleed though with patch work especially if the overlay is thin and somewhat opaque if you don't even out the surface underneath what your installing the overlay too...

The dust covers don't go under the actual cpo which adheres to your control panel..you mount the dust cover underneath the control panel..

I wouldn't but its personal preference on how tight or loose you want joysticks...

Thanks!

I hope this helps...
