I need to move the picture horizontally about 2 inches (long way). I see there is a set of pins (which i have) but I don't have he jumper wire. Can I just add the wire to the upper pin on the coil and make my own jumper

#2 The monitor scrolls vertically (the short way)..no matter how 'little' I adjust it I just can get it to stop. Even if I get it to stop it'll slowing start scrolling again and I can't ever get it to stop in the center

I did cap the chassis..reflowed what seemed like 1000 solder points. I looked at Bob Roberts 'sync' page and messed with the L351 but it didn't help

Also under the vertical hold, on the solder side, there's a resister im not sure if it's supposed to be there or if someone added it.

This is a 60-in-1..I've tried the sync on both pin 5 and 6 (R,G,B,Gr,Sync,NC and R,G,B,Gr,NC Sync)

Does the monitor work with other games or does the board work with other monitors?

I had a multi board like that and it just REFUSED to put out a good sync signal.

Not sure...
The monitor was in a junk Pac-Man cab so I haven't seen it up and running and...believe it or not I don't have another Jamma board.

I guess I could move it to my Millipede as that game is kinda taken apart

You're connecting the Jamma composite negative sync to the positive sync inputs on the monitor. Not going to work well. :D

The three pin header below the video connector is the negative sync input. From top to bottom, it's Ground, V-sync , H-sync.

Can ya tell this is my first time messing with anything Jamma =0)

I saw a couple post here with 60in1s and the k4600 and they both were using the positive sync

So..I should move the single sync wire on the Jamma card the neg sync on the monitor?

Just for future reference are all Jammas Neg Sync?

On a slight funnier note (not at the time) I got absolutely blasted by this monitor last night.

I have the monitor sitting on the ground outside the cab. I completely wired the cab from scratch with the help of Bob Roberts page and again...the first time. So everything working...marque lights...120v to the monitor form the isolation transformer (this worked VERY well)..+5 and +12 to the board..etc.

So I fire the game up after capping the monitor (first attempt at booting the game board and first look at the monitor). I'm waiting...waiting and i bumped the neck board with my leg and poof..I got picture with the game. I now know that these 60-in-one take a bit to boot and it had nothing to do with the neck board

So I'm like..'well..that (the neck board) must be loose'. So I decided to put the palm of my had on the back of the neck board (of course the cardboard was still off from the cap kit) while grounding my self nicely to the chassis of the monitor.

Holy crap did I get blasted...It sounded exactly like an electric chair in the movies. I actually smelled flesh burning..and have a burn mark on my finger from where I was holding on to the monitor chassis.

I've been collecting since 1998 and read a bunch of post here about people getting hit. I've been 'tingled' by a monitor before but never like this...and I really don't plan a doing it again anytime soon

Really? I can't see how that would work.

Correct. All Jamma boards are composite negative sync.

Sorry to laugh at your pain but... hahahaha! :D

It happens. And for reference, that was just the neckboard - you got several hundred volts of G2 voltage through your hand. That wasn't the high voltage connection (19kv)...

But, I'm sure you'll be a lot more careful from now on. And yes, I've gotten bitten by that too, by accidentally bumping my hand into the back of the neckboard.

Damn arm still hurts from the zap...I really don't wanna find out what the 'high' voltage stuff does.

As far as the 'other' posts using positive sync..they were both have problems with their stuff...probably the reason

Thanks for the help

Really? I can't see how that would work.

Correct. All Jamma boards are composite negative sync.

Neg sync fixed it...minus the horrible pac burn the thing looks awesome after the cap kit and rejuv

Colors are a little goofy dialing it in..a few games look real good then all of a sudden BAM...way to much red on the DK games. Guess ya just gotta find a happy medium between all the games

Thank again
