Well, I received an email from a fellow Klov'er (thanks Adam!) and was told about an ad on CL I might be interested in. Funny thing is, I already emailed the seller to see if it was available. Really quick email -
"I would like to get the Star Wars cabinet. Let me know, I have cash and a truck, can pick up.
Give me a call when you can,"
Here's the ad -
Star Wars Arcade - $50 (Val Vista / University)

Non-working arcade unit. The body is in decent shape and that is why I am posting in collectibles. Please see the attached photos for damage to the body, I did not hide anything. I will post additional pictures if there is an angle that you would like to see. There is no monitor in the arcade. The power supply does work and you can hear the fan power up when plugged in. In a perfect world I would like $50, but I will accept the best offer by this Friday, March 26th.
I originally purchased this with the idea of fixing it up and then reselling it, but realized I know nothing about arcades and electronics.

I received an email back from the seller in a few minutes! He asked what I would give for it. I thought "oh great, another auction on CL" and stated that I would give him the $50 he was asking. He said great! Now, I was unable to go out that nite (truck is in the shop) and said I would be out tomorrow around dinner time. Seller agreed.
Now, as we all have learned from CL, first one there gets it. Since I don't sleep much as it is, it got me thinking...someone else will get it first.
Well, this morning hit, organized to get a truck. Called the seller, he said no problem. Well meet at dinner time, give me a call on your way out, I'll give you directions. Still promising!
I go through the day, in and out of meetings and visits. 5 o'clock hits, call him up, he states he is on his way home, he'll meet me there.
Pull up to the house and ring the bell. He was home and said go around to the garage. Opened it up, looked at it, said here you go, $50. Loaded it up and left.
Nice to know that someone honors the deal they make! He stated that he received a lot of calls, I asked how many? He stated he received over 40 emails and said if I didn't pick it up, he was going down the list.
Glad I got there, here's pics -
Cab was pretty good, missing a few parts. Obviously the monitor and boards aren't there, but after the factory ROTJ cockpit, and not having the heart to convert it, I now have a donor cab for my upright!
Ordered the backglass marquee and CPO from thisoldgame.com and will be speaking to Dave at ramcontrols.com to get some other parts.
This will be a fun one!
