A big thanks to KLOV members that post items oversea's

Just wanted to express a thank you to those members that post parts OS

Doing so, is of invaluable help to guys like me, that have no other option for securing necessary items.

For those that don't like to post OS, could I ask you to reconsider your stance...add a few more $$ to the asking price for your troubles(whatever the troubles might be???) I'm happy to pay a few $ more to have the items packaged a bit more securely, for instance...I'm sure other OS buyers wouldn't complain either?

Maybe some sellers have had a bad experience posting OS....I dont know.

I can't speak for other sellers, but I don't like shipping overseas because a lot of foreign postal agencies just do not have the same standards that US ones do. I'm sure Australia is up to par, but many others.. whoo boy. I stopped shipping things overseas on eBay after having packages show up late, destroyed, or not at all. Thing is, as I understand it, USPS insurance only counts on items until they leave the US, and USPS doesn't vouch for delivery confirmation/tracking once it's in your friendly Estonian mail carrier's hands... Maybe things have changed since then, but I've been screwed more than once so I ship US only now.

I had a part for a grey market BMW shipped to me from Germany, and U.S. customs held the package for 22 months before finally releasing it. By the time I got the package, I didn't need the part anymore – we had to improvise. International shipping can be a breeze or a total fustercluck – it's a crap shoot.

Yeah, the problem isn't australia, it's that all the people that have shipped to France, Italy, and Germany got burnt, so it turns them off to shipping anything overseas. All the 'allies' lol aren't a problem.

Canada
England
Australia

I've never had an issue with.

I just bought three boards from a guy in the USA who basically said the same thing BUT when I asked if he would post to Australia he had no problems at all doing that - He said he was "covering his arse" by saying he wouldn't post overseas.

I look forward to them arriving in a few weeks.

I ordered parts varius times from usa and they came to me within a week, quite nice.
I dont see a serious reason not to send overseas, you americans arent alone in this world :)

i never had a problem with anyone i bought from here shipping to me in the uk,they was kind enough to accept my offer to buy the item they was selling for usa folks and shipped promptly, all the items were tip top.

getting bits and bats here in uk is realy realy bad!

thanks.
;)

OS shipping

John, glad to help a fellow collector on the other side of the world! We are lucky (spoiled) to have access to parts and games here in the states.. I couldn't imagine trying to collect in AU... Couldn't imagine having almost everything shipped in.. Just in the last week I've picked up 3 games within 25-45 min from my house.. Nothing wonderful, but there is plenty to be found.

Good luck sir, send me a note if you need anything inbthe future.

Thanks Pete(local413)...yeah, it's it's a bit of a grind sometimes, not to mention expensive....example...There was no chance whatsoever of me finding a ZooKeeper here in AU, so I had to import from the States...the cost...$1300 odd for the ZK...$1800+ to ship it out here..total $3100+from PA to my place here in AU....I'm not complaining, I accept that If I want something I have to pay for it.

My eyes light up when I see something FS that I need, soon turns to disappointment when you see "will only post to lower 48"....that's life.

Don't forget to add New Zealand to the list.

I would also like to thank the guys who have shipped to me, so once again, cheers to you all :D

I shipped a package to germany about 10 years ago,it never arrived and was a nightmare, maybe it arrived by now though. After this i have been usa only, then i was asked if i could ship an item to australia and it made me nervous but i accepted.Turns out it was painless, paypal printed out all the necessary forms, all i was lacking was the little plastic pouch to stick them in.I packed the items in a larger box than i would for the states do to the extended shipping time.In my mind, the longer it is out there, the better the chance of damage.I have since shipped there again without issue and have opened my auctions for smaller items up to canada, australia and the uk.it only takes me a few minutes armed with the box size and weight to get shipping prices as i list the auction.

i have shipped all over the world and have found that australia and africa to be the most expensive places to ship to, not a problem of the package arriving but people dont want to pay the high shipping cost's.

John & Andy from Australia are two Top Notch buyers. I sold & shipped John quite a few items and I sold & shipped Andy a shit load of items/games and never had a problem whatsoever. You know whenever you need something I got all you have to do is ask! Good luck with your quest for more members helping you out.

Well to Americans, New Zealand's on the list because we just consider it Australia, lol.

Accent sounds the same. :D

I ship checks all the time to Nigeria... I keep getting these wonderful offers of too-good-to-be-true Princes and Heiresses buying things from me for waaaaay over their value, and then they just want me to refund the difference via cash or check. I'm going to be sooooo rich when the transactions finalize!!!*

* Sarcasm shock - if you're unaware of this whole Nigerian phenomenon, it would behoove you greatly to research it! ;)
