Sweet! Any luck on adding Homercide? I know you've been busy with other stuff.

What's the difference between the code versions you have listed?

I remember you mentioning you were going to separate fast/slow speed high score boards (though for the current batch of boards)... did this ever happen by chance?

The test PCB's with the revised layout worked perfectly, and the production boards arrived this week. I've assembled several and they're prepacked and ready to ship.
......

Thanks Mike for getting another batch out. I ordered two. One for pac cab and one for my make trax.

What's the difference between the code versions you have listed?

one of his previous posts details this a bit more.

Any chance of getting the Multi-Pacs to boot into a game (any game) rather than the static screen? Love mine, just prefer it remain as hidden as possible.

This!, this is why I don't own one yet.

I'll try to answer a couple of post with one reply:

RE: "Boot to"
One issue is how the kit would differentiate between a cold start and a warm start, also we'd have to kill off a title or two since we're out of space for the devices that fit the current layout, especially nvRAM. At least once you select a title, it will stay in that title until powered off as long as "auto-menu" is turned off.

RE: "Homercide"
That one was on the short-lived MAD Pac and from what I remember, it used the other bank of the color PROMs. I love the game theme though, so we'll see about working it into the next revision. Beastie Feastie is another potential title for the next revision too. It'll be available as always via free download or cheap ROM swap at cost.

RE: "Separate High Score Versions"
That's one for the next revision too, promise!

Finally, please keep in mind we're working within the strict confines of the original Midway hardware, and Pacman is highly restrictive of what it will tolerate while retaining stability. Alien Armada for example uses several coding tricks to move the entire formation, Mr & Mrs Pacman displays the main character sprites in alternate frames to prevent choking the vintage hardware, etc. So while we'd love to do all sorts of cool stuff, we are faced with the reality that this is vintage Midway hardware, warts and all.

On the cold vs warm start you've already got code that displays the Pac dude on cold boot telling you how to activate the menu. This may be overly simplistic but replace that with launching a game. I mean, when you press P1+Right and then Up it doesn't take you back to the first screen you see on cold boot.

We all need to pitch in and help solve this boot to a game issue. Except me .. I have no skillz in this area. lol

Are these jamma?

you can get a jamma adapter for the midway pac pcb.
and pac pcbs do cooperate with a gonbes cga to vga card.

This is another KLOV tenet, you cannot be an official member of the team without owning a midway pcb.
