One of my 2049s has gone all yellow again. I originally cannibalized a 2082 transistor from a 9400 chassis I brutally murdered (long story) to replace the blown C3502-E. If you check the spec sheets, their specs don't quite match up -- specifically, the 2082 is rated for only 170v, the 3502 rated for 190. So imagine my surprise when I pull out the neckboard, look at the schematic, and realize the 2082 is on the still-functioning red channel! I expected it to be toast by now, but another one of the original transistors beat it to the punch, apparently. I wonder if I'll have to replace all the 3502s eventually...
Anyway, I'm curious. Since nobody sells the C3502 anymore, what are you guys using in your 9200s?
