9% Seller fee on eBay ????

I've given up on gamegavel. After selling one MC board there I got excited and subsequently listed several others that just sat and didn't sell. It's great for the console market but not so much for arcades, unfortunately. I wish GG had the exposure that eBay does, but it just can't compete. :(

Yeah, but I would think he also does some work for consoles since he is a ROM/PROM guy. Too bad it is so stale for arcades.

They've got top level sections for every major (and a number of minor) consoles, and then they have 'Arcade', 'Pinball' and 'Jukebox'. Their focus at every level is clearly on the consoles, so it's no surprise that the arcade stuff languishes.

I used to have categories for every arcade and pinball manufacturer and had multiple categories for all the various types of parts, cpus, bezelz, art, etc etc and everyone here said to combine it into fewer categories until it filled up some. But it has never filled up. For as little that has been ever been listed in the arcade areas, we have sold a decent %. Early on there were a few cabs sold. You guys just need to use it and then promote your listings in the KLOV auctions forums just like you all do with your Ebay auctions.

We feed all our fixed price/buy now listings into Google search also, so your items are also found by people searching Google so that get your items some visibility too.

And if you haven't noticed a large % of the stuff on Ebay doesn't sell either yet people still keep paying to list their items over and over again. Don't count GG out yet.

I've just restructured GG into an LLC and we are now pursuing funding. The next year should start getting quite exciting. I am trying here guys, but some listings in the arcade categories would do wonders. Give it a try. And if any of you have want to see new categories added, just let me know. If it makes sense I'll do it :) Imagine how many items would be on it if you all used it for all your listings the next month. Fill it up the arcade categories and I will do my best to promote it.

No one's counting you out, dude. It's clear that for consoles, at least, you're the place to go. For arcades, not so much right now. Will you gather more arcade stuff? Possibly. To be honest, if I had stuff to sell, I'd put it up here first, then GG if it didn't sell here, but that's because I've gotten a number of good deals from members and I'd want to return the favor.

Funding: Good luck with that.

My next board will go on GG. :)

Take the 9% and add it to you listing. In other words, if you wanted to list an item for $20 toss it up there for $21.80 and right in the listing state that you are passing additional Ebay fee to the buyer.

If everyone using Ebay did this the execs would freak and lower their fees.

I guess the Insertion Fee Deal would be fine if you have something that might not sell, and you don't care about selling.

Just slap a price on it that covers what you want+ fees.

If it doesn't sell, no big deal.. You pay nothing (I think)
