9" open frame monitors at a local surplus store. Vector?

Are these vector? They were near all of the O-scopes..

Doubtful... it looks like it has a width coil, which a vector wouldn't need.

You can always just measure the yoke impedance to be sure... if they're nearly identical (and both low), it could be a vector... if they're an order of magnitude different -- raster.

Based on the information on the site Ken posted, it looks like that monitor has a 31 kHz horizontal frequency. So that is well beyond the 15 kHz you would be looking to support for Standard resolution games. Also, the A at the end of the model number likely indicates "Amber" since all of their 7" displays are monochrome. The model number doesn't match the current format completely, but unless you want a VGA - XGA 7" mono monitor, I wouldn't buy one.

omfg omfg omfg

could it be??? seriously???

im thinking arachnid used these....... arachnid dartboard monitors..for like the ad6000 series and mabye the early galaxys...

VERY HARD TO FIND AND THEY GET WICKED SCREEN BURN!!!! and theyre amber....

what do they want fer em?

if you can confirm, your sitting on a goldmine there...

im gonna hunt on my end and see if i can confirm...

if theyll fit arachind, they should be a 12 volt monitor that does not have power onboard...

That manual says it is supposed to be the 15kHz version. As I posted earlier these are the 31kHz version. So unless the arachnid system can use both types (I really doubt it), then these won't work.

You might be able to tube swap them to get rid of that wicked burn your talking about, but even if you can do that they are 2" smaller.

It should be easy to compare the circuit boards to see what component values are different and change it to standard NTSC video again.

I still think he should stick an LCD panel in there that takes NTSC in and be done with that dart board. :)

up, im sure that ntsc 15khz amber goodness. :)
I just finished up 2 of these today.
the edge card pinout on the monitor board looks the same as the 2 I did today that is out of merit pub time darts.

The part number on the monitor in the store says it is 31kHz though... Which would be bad for a dart board looking for 15kHz. :)

oh wow how cool!.. maybe used as a pc application / terminal.
