Would a 74LS189 or 74LS289 be a direct replacement? They seem to be more available.

Click to expand... In this design 189 will work, but 289 is closer. 74s89 and 74s289 are open collector 74s189 is tri-state 82s25 and 74s301 are open collector 74s201 is tri-state.

OC won't work in place of TS if the pullups aren't populated.
