Hi,

I am looking to dump and probably replace some of the proms on my Pro Monaco GP pcbs. I believe these are actually 82S181 (even though I cannot find any datasheets for the NEC parts actually used - please see http://www.kersch.at/monacogpproms.jpg for a photo); any recommendation on a affordable reader/programer for these?

As always, I appreciate any hints and help.

Martin

Thanks for your inputs!

Any recommendations for or against AR Lab's "EPROM+" kit with the bipolar prom adapter (see http://www.arlabs.com/adapters.htm#PLCC TO DIP ADAPTERS )? It's able to handle a LOT of devices with its various adapters, and it still has tech support.

Otherwise, I'll go for the Data I/O one.

Thanks,
Martin

I tried the prom adapter for the pocket programmer and it doesnt work. Not to mention the only support signetic parts in their device list.
The data I/O is old school but it really is the best option if you plan on doing alot of proms.
