There was a thread a while ago about putting 80's arcade music together. I am trying to put a CD together to play at our house party when the band is on break and I can't find the thread. Help or just let me know what your favorite 80's rock out song was in the arcades or on your walkman when you were rockin' in the arcades.

Thanks for any help!

Here's a few for you that I always heard at the arcades back in the day.....

Journey / Seperate Ways and Don't Stop Believin'
Soft Cell / Tainted Love
Men At Work / Down Under (whats a Vegamite sandwich anyhow?)
Loverboy / Working For The Weekend
Pat Benatar / Shadows Of The Night and Love Is A Battlefield
REO Speedwagon / Take It On The Run and Roll With The Changes
Steel Breeze / You Don't Want Me Anymore
Rockwell / Sombody's Watching Me

Dazz Band - Joystick - seemed to show up in every juke in every arcade back in the day, as cheeeeeezy as it was.

:salute:
Thank you. I tried searching on music, arcade songs and a bunch of other similar phrases and always came up with way too many threads.

Oh well, I thought it was funny...

Actually, I was thinking of TJ's "Delila". I think that was the '80s....

Keep the suggestions coming. Now I have to do a raid on my wife's collection of the "Billboard Hits" CDs. But I'll have to do it after she goes to sleep. I give her too much crap about buying that trash. If she ever finds out I'm raiding her collection...

My one selection would be Donnie Iris - Ah! Leah.

But anything on this list is pretty damn good.

My Jukebox Music Menu

RM, that is a great collection. I can't afford a real jukebox, so I bought one of those JukeMaster 100's off Ebay and that is the type of collection I am trying to put together.

Now to dig through my old albums and CD's to find some of those....the hunt goes on!!! :D

Men At Work / Down Under (whats a Vegamite sandwich anyhow?)

Vegamite is this nasty tasting sludge that is leftover from brewing with yeast. It is yet another food that probably only exists because of drinking games, as in "I'll bet you won't eat that, mate!". It is mainly popular with Australians. (see drinking remark above) who delight in trying to get unsuspecting soon-to-be former friends to try it.

The arcade near me always had Twisted Sister "We're not going to take it" playing! If I had to choose one song to bring me back, it would probably be this one.
