Anyone have any of these I can't find a datasheet on them. They are 22 pin and the manual only lists them as 256 X 1 ram. The markings on the chips 8023 E36.

Any other markings, writing, letters, symbols, etc?

What game is it in? Are there schematics available?

Intersil 8023C/8023M is a triple programmable, compensated Op Amp based off the 8021C/8021M

Analog Devices AD8023AR is a High Current Output, Triple Video Amplifier IC

8023 sounds like it could be a data code.

What game (or other system) is it in??
Is is 0.3" or 0.6" wide?
Any identification information silkscreened on the PCB?

I think you might be reading the date code.. if there aren't any other markings on it, there may be some on the bottom of the chip (if its socketed, it would be easy to check). The common 256x1 RAM chip that I know of is a 74ls200/1 (and it's Signetics equivalent), and I think that's only 14 pins.

Here is a pic of the chip the top markings are the only markings on the chip. The chip info from the manual says 22 pin Ram 256x1

I see, the manual does say it's a 256x1 ram, however, the schematic makes me think it's a 256x4, since it has 4 data inputs, and an 8bit address bus.

I think this is equivalent, at least pin-out wise:

Schematic I used (refers to it as "22P IC")

edit: space firebird does have a single, 16 pin 256x1 RAM chip, a 27LS00, but that is not what you have pictured.

Double edit: probably more likely to be a MM2101

I think the manual is wrong... and it's a 93422.

Look at the Sega version: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/S-Z/Space Firebird [Owner's]%20[English].pdf

In the schematic it has 8 22 pin video RAMs too... but they are 256 x 4 and they are listed as an "8020" in the recommended parts list. The schematic shows the pinouts and they match a 93422 RAM.
