I am going to go pick this up today:

I'm not sure if I'm nuts or not to go get this, 4 hours and fifteen minutes one way for a pong clone. It was listed for 250 or best offer and I offered 100 thinking they wouldn't take it. Within 2 minutes they accepted!

I was always big into pong clones and had over 50 at one point (not arcade but home consoles) and I'm always wanted a full size machine. Just the fact that it's so big for something so simple.. I'm pretty excited.

The flyer is what really pushed me. Look how cool this thing is:

I'm also hoping there's something else cool there I can get, seems there's a lot of games in the background of the pictures.

If you had nothing better to do, there's worse things to do than take a nice drive. If you're heading 4 hours the other way to Buffalo, let me know...I need a game picked up there ;)

Yeah, that game is really retro. It has sound effects and all! Probably not a bad buy at $100 but the other games that might be available when you get on location may pan out to make the trip worth it.

Are you going to grab the midway asteroids while you're there?

I'd say that is not too bad. I'm actually looking for a Pong clone as well. The way I see it is that getting a clone is an easy (and cheap!) way of getting one of the most influential and iconic arcade games in history.

Is this going to be setup in the shop accepting quarters? If so, I'm going to have to get the kids down there for them to experience first generation gaming at it's finest! :D

Have a nice drive. :beerchug:

It was gone. He did have a busted Kangaoo for $400 though :/

Indeed! It will be there.

I didn't take pictures yet, I was ready to get home after that drive. But it's working besides the sound. I'm excited. Pictures will be up tomorrow sometime.

The guy had a frickin Atari Goal IV. Soooo nice. Like, no damage on it at all. "It worked last time I tried it" What did he want for it? $800 :( If I could afford it right now I would hve offered 500, it was that nice.

It was so damn nice, it would have been in my living room.

Besides that there was a lot of messed up broken stuff... mostly bad converted cabs with no monitors, bezels or control panels. Lots of black paint all over everything :/

Here are some pictures. Now I have to figure out why there's no sound...
