I got this 7up clock from Chris via UPS today. He had seen a previous thread on my "7UP corner" and thought this clock would be a nice addition. It's nice that he thought of me!

To say the least this thing is awesome! The pics don't do it justice at all. I couldn't get a good picture with no flash(the flourescent light inside the clock on) to save my life. With just the bar lights and games on the clock looks just awesome, believe me.

Chris had informed me that the clock itself was not working. I took it all apart and cleaned the gears. I gave them some fresh lube. The little motor seemed stuck so I turned it by hand to get it moving and then lubed it, and it runs fine now. The trick is getting the motor gear to mesh with the plastic gears when you screw it all back together. Works great now!

Chris also sent along a huge bag of letters which I wasn't expecting.

The little message you see on the board is something I am working on......

Chris, you rock! Thanks, dude.....

Ha, nice! Looks great there! Glad it made it safely.

Sorry for the rediculious delay in getting it to you :(

When I first got it, I changed the sign like every week. After a few years, It was like obce a year, LOL

Nice to hear you could get the clock part running. I never took the time to look at it.

It sat for so long that I am just glad someone can use it and appreciste it :)

Looking good John - ever consider painting that water heater to look like a 7up can to make it *really* fit in the nicely themed corner?

And where did that high score board go?

+1. Buy some paper-faced insulation wrap for the water heater (can easily get from Lowe's, etc.) and go to town on it.

I think a nice dark green paint application to it with a big yellow/black "radioactive" logo would look awesome. :)

Good idea about painting the water heater. I might just do that. I was hoping to update to an on demand wall mount, and then I would have a nice open space for a Sprint 2 if I can ever find one.

Here's the link to my new "old" high score board. Don't worry, your Captain Kid score is safe!
