Ok guys I can find a lot of solutions for every monitor but the 7900, I even fixed my 4900 with the same problem. My vertical linearity is crap... ie one side of the screen is much more compressed than the other, and it appears to be somewhat gradual. I already did a cap kit (minus the big B+ cap which never seems to come in any kit) and I have been adjusting every knob I can get my hands on... Thoughts, input, insults, all is appreaciated!

You mean the FILTER CAP? No, it doesn't come in any of the kits nor does it have anything to do with the problem you are having my friend.

That is an interesting issue.

At the risk of making it worse, crack the clamp screw a bit and start rocking the yoke back and forth. Cut some small cardboard shims that you can slide between the yoke and the top of the wedge that will hold it at different angles while you view the results.

Ok, so here is the disaster and recover that ensued.....
The yoke screw was so tight I thought I was going to break the tube loosening it, when I did get it loose, the yoke was stuck to the tube, when I got the yoke lose I noticed the convergence rings had moved, but no worries because they had glue stuck to them that marked the...oh shit the glue popped off while I was adjusting them back to where they were.

When all was said and done, I was happy that my monitor was about 10% better than when I started, and I lost 2.5 hours of my life messing with convergence rings and angling the yoke. I did however manage to get the image much more centered, and the lettering was a bit out of focus when I started (I think someone hacked this monitor pretty badly, not sure it's even the original yoke)

Ok, on to Space Invaders board repairs, AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH
Thanks all
