I was just wondering if anyone of you guys have seen this machine out at the malls? More importantly I was wondering if anyone knows who makes this thing or who distributes it?

I don't know who makes it but there is one in the local mall here. It says "Hurricane Simulator" on it. It has a DBA and a credit card reader, takes $2 to "play" it. It isn't in the arcade. Its out in the middle of the main walkway, near Target. Most of the people I have seen use it are teenagers. I would much rather play $2 worth of PGA Tour golf.

LOL funny you mentioned this there's one in the Granite Run Mall. Me and a friend of mine where there on Sunday and he decided to try it. He said and I quote "I have been in a real Hurricane before and I want to see how this stands up". Needless to say he was disappointed said it was basically a big hair dryer. Plus the LCD screen didn't even work always said like 45 MPH wind speed. I said to him what did you expect to get thrown around the plexi glass tube like a rag doll? LOL his response yeah that would have been awesome at least then I wouldn't feel like I wasted my money. :D

If anyone's interested it's in the lower level by the Boscov's side entrance I believe next to Ruby Tuesday's

I was at Colonie Center in Colonie, NY last night with my son and he asked if we could "ride" it. I said he could on Saturday, it's his birthday.

Wow... that looks extremely lame. You could get much better than that standing in front of a leaf blower (though I don't recommend it, since those can suck in objects and shoot them at you) :p .

Interesting...

There's one in the Plymouth Meeting mall not far from me. I don't go there a lot, but I've never seen it in use. Does anyone know if they make money? It's been there long enough that I'd think it has to be making money or they'd have pulled it out by now, but who knows?

I can't see spending 2 dollars to get into one, but to each his own.

There's one in the Pottstown mall. I pushed my wife into it and was fumbling for 2$ but she gave me the "you will be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the year" so I let her out.

I am a coward, what can I say.
