Doubtful you would be able to perceive the state changes on the leds even at the amazingly slow cpu clock running running at 755khz. If you have a logic probe or frequency counter you'd be able to at least tell if you are dealing with a solid high, low or have a signal.

HP logic clip does just that. It was an optional item for the logic comparitor kit.
