I have a 720 which has been sitting in my garage for years I played it last year and the joystick was stiff, this year I was able to get the parts to fix the joystick but when I plugged the game in the coin doors lit up the screen flashed for a second (purple) and that's it nothing else no sound or picture, I checked all the fuses and they test fine, any thoughts?

Check to see if you have 5v or so on the board. I would presume you could get the coin door lights to light up with less than 5v. I think there are a two tabs on the bottom left of the board set, ground and +5v. Put your meter on there and if you get less than 5v. If so, gently turn up the voltage on your power supply to about 5.1v. You may also want to check the power connector going on to the board set at the bottom. They can get burnt and dirty which can lower the voltage getting onto the board. Sorry in advance if I am stating the obvious.

Ive got a 720 that has been working flawlessly...about a week ago I moved my games around and when I turned my 720 on it had some junk on the screen and would reset about a minute into a game. I took the back door off and gently pushed down on ALL the socketed IC chips....after I powered it on it worked great...and still is. Always worth a try....
