I am looking at getting a 72o bd and control panel and playing it in either my paperboy cab or supersprint.. How do i do this?? Is it just like swapping bds in the system ones or what?? will the control panel plug in and work also???

Isn't 4.5 hours a little soon for a bump?

As for the answer... there's two boards, a CPU board and a video board, and you'd need to swap both, and they're both pretty large boards... as well as the 720 control panel being a completely different shape than the others, so you'd need to make a custom control panel. I don't know about the CP wiring, but the wiring to the board should work.

Thanks

Thanks man I was really hoping there was was light at the end of the smartass remark tunnel ... Seriously thanks.

Your Fairly close to me if you ever want to trade some games or parts PM me.

Another member here has one in a Paperboy cab. Personally, I'd change the power section in the paperboy as well. Or at least run all the +5v off one switcher.

I bought the 720 in AL. I understood that you weren't wanting to drive the distance, and for what it's worth, I wouldn't have. It was 25 min from me. I would post a WTB and one will turn up local. There are very few games that are worth driving a ridiculous distance for or paying $300 to ship.. not because the game isn't worth it, but because a good deal will come along and there will be one local at some point.

I figured out that you were interested, and I felt kinda bad, but if I didn't jump on it, someone would. He said you basically were passing on it, as the distance was too great. It was a fair deal, what I paid, and it will restore to be pretty nice. The front had been kicked in, so the front panel was completely gone. In replacing it with a newly vinyl'd piece, I will strengthen the cabinet a bit. All of the artwork is yellowed badly, as they all are, so I plan to get the Phoenixarcade stuff when I can. I will start a restoration thread on it, hopefully in the next month.

If I were you, I'd hold out for a closer/local one, rather than put a ton of effort into doing a conversion. Having the extra parts will be awesome for when you find a project game. You may be best finding one with cabinet issues, such as this one, and paying for shipping. Keep your feelers out and good luck.
