So if you are like me and sometimes would rather paint the cabinet vs going with vinyl then here's some info for you. I took a piece of vinyl off my 720 that was under the side of the monitor area that was as close to perfect as you can get. Nice and clean, original color, not faded, etc. Took that piece to Home Depot and had them color match it and make up a gallon of Behr Premium Plus Ultra Satin finish and it is damn near perfect to the piece I brought in.

So, if you are looking for this here's a pic of the label that you can take to any Home Depot and they can scan it and make you your batch of 720 Gray :)

I will be posting pics when I'm all done restoring don't you worry :D

Hopefully that dollop of sample color they put on the label isn't covering any text... :D

Someday. Someday.

Be sure to post pics and your thoughts about it after painting... I recently picked up sideart for mine, but need to do some work on the gray before installing it (was painted black... I stripped it, but it doesn't look perfect... plus some spots could use some bondo). Haven't decided on vinyl or paint.

I've seen Scott's in person (he posted the original color code). It looks great. I'll be painting mine soon, and I'll share results.

Earn it baby!
I am sure that it's going to look awesome.

You'll have to throw a party so I can make an excuse to go to AZ- and Skate or Die!

I can verify that after all these years, this paint code still works!
Sidebar question: curious if it's still a full gallon or if they shrinkflationed it down to 3.89 quarts like many manufacturers are doing?

If throwing a party is all it takes to get you Stateside, I'll become a balloon animal expert or something...

Painting soon, 7 years later!! Lol. Sounds like my Joust restoration. 😄

FWIW, a very nice match in vinyl was discussed recently in another restoration thread. Maybe not quite perfect, but extremely close in the pictures posted compared to the original vinyl side by side.

I actually started painting today and was really pleased with the result. I feel like it would be too hard for me to vinyl the bottom. I am going to try using vinyl on the front, though.

I hear ya. Both vinyl and paint have their challenges. Easy to mess up either of them IMO! Good luck! Look forward to seeing it.
