7 pins steal pics

4 grand for all for those, yeah right.
dream on.
no one finds deals like that ever...
anyone who owns those kind of pins knows what they are worth.

they have been in storage for 4 + years. old guy tired off paying fees, dumping almost everything he has, would not give up the fish tales, too bad. still has about 40 mega touch ,15 golden tee,20 juke boxes, couple of neo geos, some bowling games,so he just wants out ,made him an offer and he took it. and yes for the most part they work.need cleaned, waxed and lights .back to the future has minor display prob. hook has display issuse and TZ has a couple of optos out ,and shadow a ramp was broken other than that they are ready to place and play.good things happen to good people once in a while.

if its true sorry for my disbelief.

but...and the monster bash too, all for 4k? just seems odd.
anyone can place an ad on cl for free and have them gone fast even for an 7k pricetag and they would have been out the door.

4500-7k for mb alone, 3k for tz, the rest would be free.

i mean, how did he get ahold of you in the first place?
he must have some form of marketing ploy or communication skills.

Do they work?

For four grand? Who gives a shit!

But, I refuse to believe this story. The person that sold those is a huge idiot if that's the case. Do even HALF a second of research to find that the price they sold it for is way way way way way too low.

I don't know what the story was here, but sometimes w/ these old operators who have stuff in storage - they're not part of the collector/resale/internet community. To them it's just stuff that earned quarters back in the day. That's an INSANE deal, but not unheard of. Guy probably never heard of Craigslist or Ebay...hell I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have a computer.

I once bought 27 vids for $700 ...granted they were mostly Street Fighter and MK conversions ...but still...dude had them in storage and just wanted them gone.

operators arent idiots thow. they usually are the ones OVER charging for blown out machines.
99% of them think they have gold with every machine they have in their shop or warehouse that is broken or not. been through deals with tons of operators in and out of state and its always the same story.
anyone with a pc knows about cl and epay regardless of age , social status and monetarily speaking.

how did u come upon them thow. were you walking by a storage unit and saw them and inquired? friend of family?

that is what i dont understand. how did they end up in your hands, if he was dumb and old and knew nothing about the market, or marketing...how did he get ahold of you?

besides, if its true and you got them that damn cheap...
and if you go to sell here, we all know what you paid so we want em for cheap too ...lol
thats how it is usually.

once again , if its true, great find and congrats!

What would he have to gain by lying?

Not every op or seller is the same. Believe it or not, some don't look online to see what their stuff is worth. I bought a Lord of the Rings so cheap once...if I told you how much I paid, you'd probably accuse ME of lying! ...deals happen. :)

Thats exactly what I was gonna say... Behind every $2500 water damaged, falling apart Ms. Pac Man is a guy that bought it new in 1981 and would rather see it disintegrate then sell it for its true $120 value.

I've seen that kind of thing so many times that it can't just be me. Old ops totally over-value their equipment.

your exactly right with what you said.....thats hard to believe that guy got those for that price.....thats a crazy deal. i would have left work early that day and raced there to load them up. old operators around me in PA want alot for their games and they all ACT like they dont know the current pinball market but believe me they have an eye and ear on it......and besides its funny that operator didnt have a tech or even the OX that helped him move the games into storage who knew about them.......you think he would kept in contact with those guys OR EVEN with OTHER fellow operators.......and maybe a collector or 2

true or not....i would look at that as a few YEARS of fun that your gonna have shopping them out!! especially with the better titles

if it was me i would keep the monster bash in my living room, cement the legs of the twilight zone into the basement floor (it would never leave), keep the shadow, sell the others....but dump that hook off somewhere lol
