I fixed my Star Wars I just bought, I dunno if Im finally getting the hang of it,or just guessed lucky, but I found the problem pretty quickly!

Try it:

Symptoms: No picture (obvoiusly). At startup, you hear the HV energize, Spot killer goes off, deflection chatter sounds normal. Everything is connected correctly, all fuses are fine. B+ reads ok (Ok, i did break out the meter!). No neck glow.

Could be lots of things:

- pin backed out of the big connector
- open D107
- open R107
- open resistor on neckboard on heater circuit
- orange wire on connector to neckboard in wrong position

etc...

I figured since there was HV static, and good B+, the HV section was working. Spot killer was off, and there was deflection chatter, so power supply and deflection was good. What did that leave? The filiment. Noticed the neck was not getting hot, checked all connections, all was well. Basically on the 6100, the filiment voltage comes directly from the 25v ac input, through a diode and resisitor, and comes through the brown and black wire to the neckboard. Checked the Diode, and resistor, and voltage at the neckboard. Diode ok, resistor ok, no voltage. Pulled the deflection board, started poking and probing, and the diode came out on one end..LOL.. Re-soldered it, and its good to go!!
