need help, my gravitar, 6100 monitor lower chassi gets really hot after about half hour of being on.picture gets scrambled then screen goes out, and blows fuse f101?any ideas?

This is a long shot. Your big blue may be to blame for the issue. Since it provides steady d/c current to your A/R board. Which powers the pcb. If the power is interrupted enough the protection circuit on the deflection board can kick in because of a lack of signal from the pcb, sometimes it will blow the fuse instead. Shot gunning the A/R board may help as well. All k6100 monitor frames run hot because they utilize the lower panel as a heat sink...So that is my 2 cents. I hope you get it going.

I would look for cold solder joints at the header pins on the deflection and HV cage. If they have cold solder joints it can cause heat. A 6100 is normally warm because of the power transistors are overdrivin. Typically they don't run so hot that you are poping fuses so you might have more problems than normal.

My Star Wars runs warm so I put a muffin fan in the cabinet aimed at the bottom of the monitor.

Is your fan(s) working properly. I'm not to familiar with the 6100, but the deflection board on an amplifone gets pretty hot within 15 minutes if the fan is not blowing on the heatsink.
