Rebuilding a 6100 and I cant get a stable picture. In the HV cage Ive changed all electrolytics, HV adjust pot, R902, R919, ZD901, ZD902, Q901-Q904. Ideas on what to do next?

Agreed on the need for a video clip, but one thing that can cause the jitters are oxidized / damaged terminals / bad crimps where the Focus and Screen wires exit the HV cage through the two-wire connector (P901 / J901). Gently squeeze the female terminals with a pair of needle nose pliers to restore proper tension. They often lose their tension after many connect / disconnect cycles.

Also - check for bad crimps or frayed wires at the terminals - as they often cold work and break after only a few cycles.

Both those wires got recrimped. Forgot to mention that. They broke on me when working on the monitor. Let me get a video of what its doing

Cant really get a video (you guys should know its hard to record a CRT, cmon). The phone camera refresh rate makes it impossible to see the problem. Let me attack the various connections and see if I can fix it.

I repinned P900 on the HV cage (male and female), tightened the crimps of the 2 square female pins going into the flyback controls, stripped back and freshly soldered the red and black wires on the neck board side. No difference. Best way I can describe it is its a consistent, rythmic pulsating, primarily on the Y axis. Cant tap anywhere and get it to be worse or better.

When you say you are rebuilding, does that mean the monitor is outside the cabinet - on a workbench, etc.? If so, it might be something in the vicinity which has a strong magnetic field associated with it - transformer (soldering iron), fan motor, etc. Have you tried moving the monitor to a different location, or changing its orientation relative to the current placement?

Did you replace the LV section components with a LV6100 setup (through-hole regulators?) Might be worth looking at the AC ripple on the +/- 24-volt sides of the regulators in case one of the upstream rectifier diodes or filter capacitors is failing. If the original LV components are still present, it could be a failing filter capacitor.

Also - make sure you are getting 50 VAC when you check across fuses F100 and F101.

Edit: As @VectorCollector noted, do be sure to check (cycle / DeoxIT) the pots on the game board - particularly those which control the size and centering.
