I am trying to dial in my space dual monitor
Replaced the deflection board with a reworked unit, my jitters have disappeared now I have an odd issue

the player 2 side of the screen collapses to a thin line, but the player one side is fine, all you have to do to get it to come back is lightly tap the side of the cab.

I have unplugged and replugged the connectors several times but it keeps reoccurring, what should I look at? cold joints, HV section, chassis transistors?
Thanks

Thanks Mark
If I can't get it going I'l take you up on it.
I am decent at board work and soldering but it finding whats wrong where I have trouble

Update....

I changed out all the chassis transistors and made sure there was no connectivity to the frame with any of them, and still have the same issue, if I have time tomorrow I'll pull the deflection board and reflow the connectors.

Side note : I just replaced the big blue in this cab and I tested this monitor with 2 different game boards and issue is consistent with this monitor

Slackmo is right. You have a bad connection on the board(solder on the pin is cold), one of the connectors has lost a wire(wire has lost it's pin in the connector), or one of the transistor wires have come loose.

Well I looked into this today

I hit (reflowed)all the header pins and the blk brn and white singles, everywhere there was a plug and checked for continuity from the plugs to the chassis transistors all check out good

Still have the same issue

I can reproduce the issue by slightly flexing the deflection board, I see no visual broken traces but I do not have a lighted mag glass or know which traces to look for.

Any suggestions?

Swap the X and Y circuit transistors (J600 and J700). If the picture doesn't change return the connectors to the correct locations. You need to look at the transistors (603,604 and 703,704) and the surrounding circuitry for bad components or trace cracks.

I swapped j600 and 700 and the issue remained on the same side

So I pulled the deflection board and tested the transistors all tested good

I reflowed everything on the traces for all 4 transistors and now I have a full screen image flexing the board no longer produces the half screen collapse

New issue is the image seems to be pulsing what causes that?
Feel like I'm getting close

Still have a magnetic interference in upper rt of screen but (score is blue instead od red)
I degaussed the hell out of the cp but it's still there can the frame become magnetized ?
