After I removed the PCB from the cage in 6100 the armature or core of the flyback -- the metal part is loose and move a little side to side. I think this is ok?

Or is it NOT! the fly is not crack or burned or anything

I THINK you are talking about the ferrite core. If so, and there are no burns or other cracks, it is probably still safe to use. This problem is common on Sanyo flybacks and cause a "singing" flyback scenario where the core will vibrate and put out an audible squeal. The fix is to jam something in there (like a toothpick). I would think that you could simply do the same or re-fill the gap with an adhesive or epoxy to take up the space....

A pic might help to ensure we are talking about the same thing... or you can look up "singing flyback" on Google and determine that for yourself.

Yep, fairly common on the 6100. The bolt in the middle rusts and slides out too. Use it till if fails. Remove, replace and press on.
