I did a search and didn't find an answer so here goes:

I have a 60 in 1 card that I was trying to hook up to a Dell 15 inch LCD.
For some reason it will not display the output for more than a second or two then it blanks out.
I am guessing that it is trying to send a signal that the Dell doesn't like. This is an old 15 inch 4:3 dell lcd, the basic black ones that everyone had on their desks at work like 6 years ago.
I tried a friend's 15 inch NEC lcd and it would not display either.

What LCD monitors should I be looking for to get one that works?

I know a arcade monitor will work and I also know a CRT monitor will work as well, but for ease of setup I was going to use an LCD.
And yes, I know the games won't look as good.

I used one with a 19" monitor (1280x1024) without problems. Maybe it's an issue of the max resolution of the 15"? I think most of those max out at 1024x768.

Every problem I've ever had with LCD monitors in 60-in-1's have been with DELLs. Avoid them like the plague. Maybe there just not suited to the signal type? Who knows. I prefer HPs.

It can't be a max resolution problem, these games are all CGA or EGA or whatever, the resolution would be much lower. I am thinking it's a refresh rate problem, I think the 60 card runs at like 34 MHZ and the monitors can't support it for some reason.

I have hooked it up to a 22 inch Viewsonic monitor and it worked like a champ. I just need to use a 15 inch one though for this cocktail cab.

lcd

acer seems to work well also
some issues have to do with various settings in the lcd, and software in the lcb that does or does not have the ability to desern certain semi uncommon input types
