So i got a cab today that is wired jamma to put a 60 in 1 in and its a trackball bowling game. the plan was to add a joystick but the trackball seem VERY sensitve and don;t work 80 percent of the time. can anyone help me out here.

are you using the jamma connector for trackball hookup or something else?

im pretty sure the multiboards have a seperate connector you are supposed to use for trackballs...

does the trasnball work fine with the other game installed?

also do you know if you have an a grade board or a b grade board?

In the past, the b grade ones did not support a trackball even though i believe they had the connector for them. SOmething could have improved, its been awhile since i was multiboard shopping.

the cabinet is wired jamma so the trackball i am guessing is wired into the harness in that way. i'll triple check. i go tthe board last year not to sure which one it is. its the small board. the game will recognize the movement but its really spartic.

1) is it a new trackball?

2) Does it have red or green optics boards?

3) Have you double-checked the wiring to the trackball? The 60-in-1 needs the trackball connected to the player 2 joystick wiring if it's not connected to the board connectors. Your JAMMA harness may not be wired that way.

4) What is your +5 at the trackball? if too low, it won't work properly...

I'm having this issue and was wondering what the diff between the red and green PCB's might be.

I'm trying to set up a trackball with the programable jamma board. its way sensitive and kinda out of control

everything other than the colors you pointed out is set correctly. I'm using a happ trackball and the PCB's are red on it.

1)yes
2)red
3)wired correctly using only trackball reqires player 1 connections only.
4)5.2

If i hook up just up and down...i do get movment but its very eratic
If i hook up all the directions..its all screwy and seems to react super slow
