have a 60 in 1 with the tb hooked up with the bob roberts harness but i get nothing? the joystick works for centipede but not the tb? i have tried it with the main board set to one player controls and 2 player controls and nothing help! thanks Paul

This has been spoken for before by Mod, sometimes the 60/1 "B" pcb's do not allow you to use the harness for the trackball ports (5v issue I believe).

You can always wire it into the 2P controls using the wiring schematic for the standard 6 wire trackball connector:

Black to Ground
Red to +5V
Yellow to 2nd player UP
Green to 2nd player DOWN
Brown to 2nd player LEFT
Blue to 2nd player RIGHT

It's correct that it's been a problem with the "B" board, but the problem wasn't the +5 or GND, as they were both at the connector and at the trackball through the harness. Apparently the signals from the trackball were not being detected properly by the board.

Connecting to the wiring as mentioned above will work, assuming you are using the proper trackball type...

Some B boards have no trackball support at all, I do not know why,I ran out A board last Christmas, bought 5 B boards ,none of them work with trackball,I wired to 2nd player and use trackball harness ,both way not working .

Excellent recently told us they were out of "B" boards and only had "A" boards available at $92 (maybe $93) so they can be gotten....

60 in 1 old trackball fix

I was able to get my old Centipede trackball to work with my 60 in 1 card. Connect 4 1K resistors between the horizontal and vertical clk and dir lines and ground. My trackball works fine now, and it's and old one with green boards. I suspect this might be the fix for many different green board trackballs. It only costs 4 resistors to give it a try.

If you have it wired wrong, it obvoiusly won't work after the resitors are installed. One of the test screens has a * cursor for the trackball. Connect one of the signal lines to ground with a 1K resistor temporarily. If it's going to work, you'll see the cursor move a bit as you connect and disconnect the pull down resistor.

Mine is wired through the player 2 inputs on the jamma connector.
